Assembly Technician – Lighting Products

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Assembly Technician to perform light assembly of lighting products and components. This position involves working with small parts, components, and non-energized electrical wires to assemble products according to established specifications and quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous electronic, electrical, mechanical, or small-parts assembly experience. The ideal candidate is comfortable performing precise, repetitive work and has strong hand dexterity and attention to detail.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assemble lighting products and subassemblies using small components, hardware, wires, and related materials.
• Handle and connect non-energized electrical wiring and components according to work instructions.
• Perform detailed assembly work requiring good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Follow diagrams, work instructions, bills of materials, and established assembly procedures.
• Use basic hand tools and small assembly tools safely and effectively.
• Inspect components during assembly to identify defects, incorrect parts, loose connections, or other quality concerns.
• Verify completed assemblies meet established quality and workmanship standards.
• Accurately identify and select components required for each assembly.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workstation.
• Meet established production and quality expectations while maintaining accuracy.
• Communicate component, material, or quality issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
• Perform other production and assembly duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in electronic assembly, electrical assembly, small-parts assembly, light manufacturing, or a similar production environment preferred.
• Strong manual dexterity and ability to work comfortably with small components.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to perform repetitive assembly tasks while maintaining consistent quality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to recognize differences between similar components, parts, and wiring.
• Basic familiarity with hand tools used in light assembly is preferred.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a production team.
• Dependable attendance and ability to maintain expected production standards.

Ideal Candidate

Someone who has assembled electronics, electrical components, lighting products, small appliances, wiring harnesses, control components, or other small manufactured products would transition well into this position. Candidates with general assembly experience and excellent dexterity may also be successful even without direct lighting-industry experience.

Important: This position does not involve working with live or energized wiring. Electrical wires and components being handled during assembly are non-energized.

Compensation

$22.00 per hour
