Assembler

Pay Rate: $18.41 per hour

Summary:

• Location: Windsor, CT
• 1st Shift
• Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Some OT

Responsibilities:

• Assemble inset lights and components in a stationary work cell using various hand tools.
• Adhere to production schedules and work from sample fixtures.
• Handle and move parts from storage locations to the work cell.
• Assist Material Handler in obtaining necessary parts.
• Perform individual quality inspection throughout the assembly process, marking and setting aside defective parts, and informing the Supervisor or Team Lead.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Lead.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• Only candidates residing within 50 miles of Windsor, CT will be considered.
• Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment and comply with all Safety policies.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and other production paperwork.
• Ability to comprehend and follow instructions and train others accordingly.
• Ability to identify components that meet quality standards.
• Ability to apply Lean manufacturing principles to improve assembly operations.
• Ability to complete required paperwork.
• Flexibility to work overtime and perform a variety of tasks.

Preferred Skills:

• A minimum of one year of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
