Assembler

Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Summary:

• First Shift: 5:30am
• Location: US-Worcester

Responsibilities:

• Perform operations required to assemble and pack various products, including operation of equipment in accordance with customer orders.
• Maintain necessary records for all operations.
• Check completed parts to ensure compliance with Worcester Plant Quality standards and make necessary adjustments to meet quality goals.
• Assemble low-volume, high-complexity products using hand and power tools, including drills, circular saws, screwdrivers, and wrenches.
• Operate packaging/wrapping equipment and palletize complete units.
• Maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Adhere to all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, and work instructions, including the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist team in achieving plant and department goals by flexing when needed.
• Support on-the-job training and continuous improvement.
• Foster an environment that promotes company goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork.

Requirements:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• Only candidates in the immediate geographic area (50-mile radius) will be considered.

Preferred Skills:

• High school diploma or GED-equivalent.
• Minimum 3 months of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 3 months of experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures, blueprints, and work orders.
• Ability to recognize mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to use a crane once fully trained to lift items.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Repetitive motion including but not limited to lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position.
• Ability to wear required PPE for the role including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, and protective arm and hand coverings.
• Ability to use good judgment and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions.
• Knowledge of basic shop math, assembly, and configuration.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to use measuring equipment, hand and power tools or saw.
