In Saint Joseph, MI, you’ll report to the Production Supervisor (or designee) and handle assembly, inspection, labeling, palletizing, ERP updates, and workplace organization to 5S standards—while keeping safety front and center.
Your impact
- Assemble components and subassemblies, verifying proper fit and fastening.
- Conduct visual checks and final inspection; label and palletize finished product for shipment.
- Manage materials and transactions in the ERP; complete process paperwork accurately (Epicor preferred).
- Support supply readiness: monitor inventory, anticipate needs, place/expedite orders, and verify receipts.
- Keep a clean, safe work area—sweep floors, clean machinery, and clear bowl enclosures; sustain 5S.
- Track and communicate priorities, progress, and results via shift production summaries.
- Partner with teammates and take on related tasks/projects as needed.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience on an assembly team; 1 year preferred.
- ERP familiarity (Epicor a plus) and basic computer/data entry skills.
- Strong reading and math; able to follow written and oral instructions.
- Self-directed yet collaborative; focused on quality and standards.
Physical demands
- Lift up to 50 lbs; frequent bending/stooping.
- Stand and walk 8+ hours per day, including long-distance walking.
- Climb step stools/small ladders; perform repetitive fine motor hand movements.
