Role: Automation Technician (Assembly)
Location: Buffalo Grove, IL
Position Summary:
Seeking an Automation Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and support high-speed automated assembly equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, system qualification, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance on automation and robotic systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and pneumatic equipment issues.
- Support equipment qualification and validation activities.
- Maintain equipment documentation, procedures, and test records.
- Ensure safe operation of tools, equipment, and manufacturing systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve equipment performance.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
- 2 4+ years of automation, maintenance, or manufacturing equipment experience.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems.
- Experience in automated assembly/manufacturing environments preferred.
- Familiarity with robotic systems and preventive maintenance processes is a plus.
