Your Role

Akkodis is seeking an Assembly Contractor for a Contract job with a client in Tempe, AZ. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing, assembly operations, quality inspection, and production support, along with strong attention to detail and the ability to work from documented procedures and engineering drawings.

Rate Range: $19/hour to $21.50/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Assembly Contractor Job Responsibilities Include:

• Perform assembly operations utilizing current manufacturing procedures to support production schedules and meet operational requirements.

• Utilize hand tools, microscopes, spot welders, and other production equipment to assemble components and products in accordance with detailed work instructions and engineering documentation.

• Conduct visual inspections throughout the assembly process to verify product quality, workmanship standards, and compliance with manufacturing requirements.

• Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials, components, and assemblies in accordance with established quality procedures.

• Monitor process data from equipment and sensing devices that measure vacuum, temperature, torque, and other critical manufacturing parameters.

• Maintain accurate production and quality records using company systems while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and communicating process deviations to engineering teams.

Desired Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.

• Experience working in manufacturing, assembly, production, electronics, aerospace, or related industrial environments.

• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, drawings, technical documentation, and manufacturing procedures.

• Experience using hand tools, microscopes, manufacturing equipment, and inspection tools within a production environment.

• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications, data entry systems, email communications, and production tracking systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with electronic assemblies, optical products, precision manufacturing, or image tube processing operations.

• Familiarity with quality systems, non-conformance reporting, process monitoring, and manufacturing documentation requirements.

• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, chemical, and workplace safety procedures applicable to manufacturing environments.

• Experience maintaining production records using Quality Tracking Systems (QTS) or similar manufacturing quality tools.

• Experience working in highly detailed manufacturing environments that require precision assembly and adherence to strict quality standards.

Pay Details: $19.00 to $21.50 per hour
