Metal Manufacturing Opportunity

1st Shift | 3-Day Weekends

Are you mechanically inclined and enjoy hands-on assembly work? A growing Chippewa Falls manufacturer is hiring Assembly Operator II team members for a 1st shift schedule that offers three-day weekends every week. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience who enjoys working with tools, following prints, and being part of a quality-driven team environment.

POSITION - Assembly Operator II

JOB LOCATION - Chippewa Falls, WI

STARTING DATE - Immediate

EMPLOYMENT TERM - Temp-to-Hire

EMPLOYMENT TYPE - Full-Time

WORK HOURS (SHIFT) - 1st Shift, Monday through Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm

STARTING PAY - $18.00 to $20.00 per hour depending on experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION - High School Diploma or GED

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE - Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing, production, or assembly experience preferred

As an Assembly Operator II, you will assemble and inspect components to ensure finished products meet company quality standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow technical instructions, and a commitment to maintaining safe and efficient production processes.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble parts and components using detailed work instructions and diagrams
  • Perform visual and functional quality inspections on completed products
  • Identify defects or production concerns and communicate them to supervisors or team members
  • Operate assembly equipment, hand tools, and production machinery safely and efficiently
  • Complete production and quality documentation accurately
  • Support production goals by maintaining efficiency and minimizing downtime
  • Work collaboratively with team members to maintain workflow and productivity
  • Perform basic equipment cleaning and routine maintenance tasks
  • Follow all company safety procedures and workplace guidelines
Qualifications
  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, or production experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical work instructions
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Comfortable using hand tools and assembly equipment
  • Basic computer skills for production tracking and documentation
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of workplace safety procedures and manufacturing environments
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery and production equipment
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and repetitive hand movements throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • May require use of hearing protection, safety glasses, or additional PPE depending on work area
  • Moderate manufacturing noise level and exposure to vibration or airborne particles in certain areas
