Position Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the general assembly manager to establish work priorities and ensure that all promised customer shipment dates are achieved.
- Assist with assigning work to department personnel based on skill and ensure that established assembly methods are consistently followed.
- Ensure that all work orders and employee labor entries are properly updated and completed promptly.
- Assists in resolving on-the-job technical problems.
- Inspects all completed equipment before release for shipment.
- Participate in personnel performance assessments and offer suggestions for improvement.
- Maintains adherence to Company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
- Promote a positive, professional atmosphere and ensure a safe working environment by demonstrating consistent adherence to all Empire policies and safety guidelines.
Essential Skills and Experience
- A 2-year technical degree is required; a 4-year mechanical engineering degree is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years" successful experience as a technical lead or supervisor in an electro-mechanical assembly environment.
- Mechanical ability and experience working with a variety of small hand tools.
- Knowledge of electricity and ability to read simple blueprints and schematics.
Beneficial Skills and Experience
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Experience with 3D CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorksS
