In this hands-on role, you’ll work closely with engineers and technicians to accelerate capability and ensure long-term production readiness for critical RF programs.
You’ll apply your technical expertise in mechanical engineering, tool design, and process engineering to bridge the gap between R&D and production, ensuring high-quality, efficiency, and scalable assembly manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead process development and stabilization for YIG sphere manufacturing and related magnetic components.
- Design, implement, and optimize tooling and workflows for high-precision magnetics production.
- Collaborate with technicians and engineers to troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Analyze measurement data and provide manufacturability recommendations to engineering teams.
- Support equipment commissioning, upgrades, and CapEx projects for magnetics manufacturing.
- Maintain and update technical documentation, CAD models, and process records.
- Train production operators and support knowledge transfer for new processes.
- Manage and prioritize project tasks, balancing immediate needs with long-term goals.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 2–5+ years of experience in precision assembly, manufacturing, or process/tool design
- Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD systems (preferably Siemens NX) and blueprint interpretation.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with process development for assembly components (e.g., YIG spheres, Glass-to-Metal seals, housings).
- Automation and PLC experience
- Familiarity with RF, microwave, or mm-wave applications.
- Working knowledge of GD&T and practical metrology principles.
- Background in process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar).
- Proficiency with vision measurement tools (Keyence, Nikon, Zygo, etc.).
