Adecco is hiring Assemblers to work with our client located in Enfield, CT. These are long term opportunities with potential for temp to hire. These positions are on the day shift 7a-3:30p or 8a-4:30p. Pay rates range from $18 - $20/hr depending on experience and department. If your skills match the job duties below, please apply now!


Position Summary
The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting products according to engineering specifications and quality standards. This role ensures that products are built safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble components according to work instructions, blueprints, and engineering drawings

  • Install mechanical parts including housings, impellers, seals, bearings, shafts, and fasteners

  • Perform torqueing, alignment, and fit-up procedures to specification

  • Conduct in-process inspections to ensure quality standards are met

  • Perform functional testing of assembled cooling pumps

  • Identify and report defects, non-conformances, or equipment malfunctions

  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation

  • Follow all safety policies and procedures

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S standards)

  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve assembly issues

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality

Qualifications
Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • 1–3 years of manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience preferred


Technical Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and measuring instruments

  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and components

  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions

Soft Skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Good manual dexterity

  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills

  • Ability to work in a production environment


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods

  • Lift up to 40–50 lbs as required

  • Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motion

  • Use of required PPE


Work Environment

  • Manufacturing / production floor environment

  • Exposure to machinery, noise, and industrial equipment

  • Climate-controlled or non-climate-controlled facility depending on location

Pay Details: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
