Job Description

Job Summary
The Assembly/Production Line Operator is responsible for performing a variety of tasks on a automotive production line within a Tier 1 manufacturing environment. This role involves assembling components, operating machinery, and ensuring that products meet strict quality and safety standards required by automotive customers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced, team-driven setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble automotive parts and components according to standardized work instructions and engineering specifications.
  • Operate and monitor production line equipment, tools, and machinery safely and effectively
  • Perform quality checks to ensure products meet company and customer standards
  • Identify and report defects, malfunctions, or process deviations promptly
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with lean manufacturing principles.
  • Follow all safety procedures, policies, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
  • Meet or exceed daily production targets and efficiency metrics
  • Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Organize inventory
  • Participate in training programs to stay up-to-date with the latest equipment and safety procedures

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • One year of manufacturing experience preferred

·         Knowledge of manufacturing safety procedures and OSHA regulations

·         Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects.

·         Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.

·         Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with coworkers and management.

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures
  • Requires standing, walking, and lifting (up to 40 lbs).
  • Requires overtime (47.5 hours/wk)

   

Schedule

  • Full Time, M-F 7-5:00
