About the Opportunity

Express Employment Professionals – North Hollywood is partnering with a local manufacturer to hire an Assembly Quality Control Inspector on an initial 6‑month engagement with the possibility of extension. Curious? Call Veronica at 818-332-1622 to learn more.

A Day in This Role

You start at the inspection line, receive direction from the Quality Supervisor, and move between stations where sub-assemblies and finished products await your trained eye. Using calipers and micrometers, you verify critical dimensions, document any discrepancies, and keep production flowing. When a defect appears, you pause, grade it using the Four-Level Defect Grading System, and drive a quick Root Cause Analysis so the team can correct course. Between lots, you perform simple equipment or process set-ups and help rework units that don’t meet spec—always with safety and cleanliness top of mind.

What You’ll Tackle

  • Inspect and test assemblies on the line and at individual workstations under the guidance of the Quality Supervisor.
  • Handle assembly and inspection tasks more complex than entry-level work, drawing on broader product knowledge.
  • Test products at both sub-assembly and final assembly stages.
  • Repair or rework assembled units or sub-assemblies when required.
  • Own quality, workmanship, and adherence to company production standards.
  • Perform simple equipment and process set-ups.
  • Recognize, document, and report issues in materials, tooling, machinery, or processes.
  • Run Root Cause Analysis on product defects and communicate findings clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrate competency in all entry-level inspector duties.
  • Apply the Four-Level Defect Grading System to proactively identify, report, and help resolve quality defects.
  • Follow all safety standards and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
  • 1–2 years’ experience in assembly or testing of inline manufacturing assemblies preferred.
  • Skilled with precision tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; follow written instructions in English.
  • Comfort with basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), measurement units (weight, volume, distance), and reading simple sketches and shop drawings.
  • Ability to operate required equipment and tools.

  • GD&T
  • Troubleshooting Skills
