RDI Group is looking for a hands-on Assembly Supervisor to lead a team of builders assembling complex conveyor and roofing machinery. This isn’t a stand-back-and-point role — you’ll be right in the action, turning wrenches alongside your team while driving quality and productivity.

? What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead and supervise a small team (3+ assemblers/builders) on the shop floor
  • Spend ~60% of your time hands-on with mechanical assembly
  • Guide, mentor, and support your team (40% leadership focus)
  • Oversee assembly of complex conveyor and roofing machinery systems
  • Troubleshoot issues and ensure proper form, fit, and function
  • Partner with engineering and electrical teams to resolve build challenges
  • Maintain production schedules while ensuring safety and quality standards
?? What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience as a Supervisor or Lead in a machine shop or assembly environment
  • Strong mechanical assembly background (must be comfortable on the tools)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve on the fly
  • Experience leading small teams in a production setting
  • Exposure to complex equipment or custom machinery builds is a big plus
  • Comfortable balancing leadership with hands-on work
? Schedule & Pay
  • Start on 1st shift for training, then transition to:
    • 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
  • Pay: $35–$36/hr (up to $38/hr for top candidates)
  • Shift Differential: +$3/hr on 2nd shift
  • Overtime: Plenty available
