Position will start in Oxnard, CA and must relocate to Henderson, NV by January 2027

Assembly Supervisor is responsible and accountable for ensuring quality products are produced safely and effectively per the applicable schedules.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Access and understand daily and weekly schedules.

Find, read & follow work instructions displayed electronically (iPad).

Correctly use required gages.

Identify potential problems.

Troubleshoot problems.

Assist in training employees within your department.

Certify employees to operations.

Perform departmental audits to ensure Work Instruction (WI) integrity and Bill of Materials (BOM) integrity.

Ensure assembler's are performing operations correctly.

Conduct group meetings.

Logically think through problems in order to make sound decisions.

Coordinates production to ensure adherence to the Master Schedule.

Ensures that all employees are working in a safe manner in all aspects of their job requirements.

Provides input to design engineers for ease of assembly for new and existing products.

Employees must report any damage to a supervisor or manager.

Employees are expected to follow instructions, procedures and to escalate any issue impacting workflow, quality, etc.

Employees must exhibit honesty and integrity as well as demonstrate adherence to rules, procedures and policies.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises employees. The supervisory responsibilities include the following: supervises in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Supervisors must also train employees, plan, assign, and direct work, address complaints and resolve problems.

Minimum Qualifications

Can identify and properly use the correct hand tools.

Understands threads, fasteners and use of torque wrenches.

Understands Bill of Materials (BOM's).

Can effectively and correctly perform all of the processes in the area being supervised.

Understands departmental measures of performance and how to apply the data to improve performance.

Displays the leadership qualities required to keep employees working effectively.

Good organizational skills.

Can supervise many different processes.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Desired Qualifications

It is preferred to able to speak, read, and write in Spanish.

Education

High school diploma or high school equivalency (HSE) credential such as general education degree (GED) is required, plus an additional one to three months related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations in English.
