Summary/objective
The Manufacturing Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, inspecting, and integrating complex interconnect solutions in a manufacturing environment. This role requires the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, use basic hand tools and precision measuring equipment, and perform detailed assembly operations in accordance with safety, quality and ESD standards.
Essential functions
· Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions and bills of material
· Navigate and perform transactions in the ERP system for job tracking
· Use basic hand tools and precision tools including calipers, arbor press, drill press and pinsert machines
· Identify, select, and correctly install various types of hardware and fasteners
· Load and terminate electrical contacts into modules according to specifications
· Install helicoils and other threaded inserts
· Perform straightening, squaring, fitting and alignment of enclosures and mechanical assemblies
· Perform taping, lasering, silk screening and labeling per customer or engineering requirements
· Perform high-precision assembly of complex interconnect solutions, ensuring electrical and mechanical integrity
· Follow ESD control procedures and main ESD training
· Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
· Comply with all quality, safety, and manufacturing procedures
