Assembly Technician – AM Shift

Pay:$17.00–$19.00 per hour(Based on Experience)
Location:Tulsa, OK Area
Shift:Monday–Friday | 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking reliable and motivated Assembly Technicians to join a manufacturing team in the Tulsa area. This position is responsible for assembling components according to work instructions and blueprints while maintaining established quality, safety, and production standards.

Candidates with mechanical assembly experience are encouraged to apply, and those with Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) experience are highly preferred. Depending on experience, this position may also involve conduit installation, conduit bending, electrical wiring, and related electrical assembly work.

Required Experience & Skills

• Previous mechanical assembly experience preferred
• Ability to read and follow assembly instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Experience using hand tools and power tools
• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to follow established production procedures
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
• Strong commitment to workplace safety

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assemble components and equipment according to blueprints and work instructions
• Identify and gather required parts, hardware, and materials for assigned assemblies
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment
• Measure, position, fit, and secure components according to specifications
• Inspect completed assemblies for proper fit, alignment, and overall quality
• Identify and report defective parts, assembly issues, or equipment concerns
• Maintain consistent quality and productivity throughout the shift
• Support production goals and assist other team members as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all company safety procedures and production requirements
• Perform additional assembly and manufacturing duties as assigned

Instrumentation & Electrical Experience

Candidates with I&E experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Additional responsibilities for qualified candidates may include:

• Running electrical conduit
• Measuring and bending conduit
• Installing conduit and related components
• Performing electrical installation work
• Routing and installing wiring
• Supporting electrical assembly and equipment integration
• Reading applicable electrical drawings or diagrams

Preferred Qualifications

• Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) experience
• Conduit bending and installation experience
• Electrical wiring experience
• Mechanical or industrial assembly experience
• Manufacturing or fabrication experience
• Blueprint and technical drawing interpretation skills
• Experience using measuring equipment
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, and repetitive physical activity
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required for detailed assembly work
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools while wearing required PPE
• Comfortable performing physically active assembly and production work throughout the shift

Work Environment

• Industrial manufacturing and assembly environment
• Hands-on work involving mechanical components, hand tools, power tools, and production equipment
• Electrical and conduit work may be assigned based on candidate experience
• Production-focused environment requiring consistent attention to safety, accuracy, and quality
• Team-oriented workplace supporting daily manufacturing and production goals
