Job Title: Mechanical Assembly Technician / Electromechanical Assembler

Location: Sparks, MD

Job Description:
  • Assemble electronic and mechanical products, sub-assemblies, and instruments.
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to complete assemblies accurately.
  • Use mechanical tools such as torque drivers, gauges, drill bits, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Perform wiring, cable harnessing, soldering, and component installation.
  • Inspect finished products and perform basic testing to ensure quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and rework assemblies when needed.
  • Record production information, including serial numbers and tool usage.
  • Follow GMP, safety, quality, and Lean Manufacturing procedures.
  • Work with Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Manufacturing teams.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Handle raw materials and sub-assemblies as required.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and help train team members.

Key Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED with 3+ years of manufacturing experience (or AA technical degree with 1+ year experience).
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical tools, including torque drivers, gauges, and measuring tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and measure dimensions accurately.
  • Basic computer and Windows skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting, teamwork, and time management skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime and stand for extended periods.
