Assembly Technician

Assembly Technician - $18-21/hr.

We are looking for a skilled Assembly Technician with 1+ year of experience to support our construction operations by assembling mechanical systems in a controlled shop environment. Candidates are encouraged to apply ASAP as we have an immediate need in the Houston area.  

Responsibilities

·       Fabricate and assemble MEP components including:

·       Electrical conduit racks and device assemblies

·       Mechanical pipe systems (HVAC, hydronic, duct supports)

·       Plumbing assemblies (water, waste, vent systems)

·       Read and interpret BIM models, shop drawings, and construction plans

·       Measure, cut, thread, bend, and assemble materials (conduit, pipe, strut, supports)

·       Perform quality checks to ensure assemblies meet project specifications

·       Label, stage, and prepare prefab materials for transport to job sites

·       Collaborate with project managers, BIM/VDC teams, and field crews

·       Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Qualifications:

·       Experience in construction, MEP trades, or prefabrication

·       Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems

·       Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings

·       Experience with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment

·       Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment

Compensation:

·       Competitive starting pay $18-21/hr.

·       10-20 hours OT as needed
