Position Summary
We are seeking detail-oriented Assembly Technicians to join our medical device manufacturing team. In this role, you will assemble medical fiber optic light guide bundles and endoscopic cables used in healthcare applications. Success in this position requires excellent hand-eye coordination, precision, and a commitment to producing high-quality products that meet strict manufacturing standards.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret assembly drawings, routers, and work instructions to determine the correct materials and assembly processes.
Assemble medical fiber optic light guide bundles and endoscopic cables according to approved procedures and quality standards.
Maintain accurate production documentation and records of completed work.
Rotate among various assembly processes and production tasks as needed.
Follow established work instructions, engineering drawings, and quality requirements to ensure compliant assemblies.
Inspect work for quality and accuracy throughout the assembly process.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Technical, trade, or vocational school certification is a plus.
Previous experience in electronics manufacturing, medical device assembly, or other precision/small-part assembly is preferred.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Experience using microscopes and inspection loupes is preferred.
Physical Requirements
Excellent near vision and hand-eye coordination.
Strong manual dexterity with the ability to handle and assemble very small components.
Ability to make precise, coordinated finger and hand movements.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
Ability to bend, stoop, stretch, and reach as needed during the assembly process.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds when necessary.
