Roto Assembly Technician Job Description
• Assembly and production: Assemble parts and components into finished products with accuracy, technical skill, and an understanding of how each component fits and functions within the final product.
• Product finishing: Cut, trim, and assemble rotationally molded polyethylene products, and related boat parts. Like high-end coolers, kayaks,
• Tools and equipment: Remove excess plastic from molded parts using hand and power tools such as drills, routers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and scrapers.
• Shipping support: Package and label boat parts for daily shipments.
• Quality control: Inspect parts for defects or other quality concerns and report any non-conforming items to the Team Lead and/or Roto Supervisor.
• Safety and organization: Keep work areas clean and organized while following all safety policies.
Work Environment
• Manufacturing setting: Work takes place in a rural, fast-paced manufacturing environment that requires frequent physical activity.
• Environmental conditions: Employees may be exposed to high temperatures, fumes, dust, and cooler temperatures during the winter months.
• Physical demands: Role requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting to 25 lbs. Team lifts are used for heavier items.
Skills & Qualifications
• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Work style: Able to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
• Attention to detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Organization: Good organizational skills and the ability to keep tasks moving efficiently.
• Computer skills: Basic computer skills for processing orders and printing labels; training will be provided.
• Learning mindset: Willingness to learn, take direction, and work collaboratively with the team.
