Position Summary

As an Assembly Technician at ACCRETECH SBS, Inc., you'll play a hands-on role in the assembly, testing, and packaging of precision electronic and mechanical products. This hands-on position requires attention to detail, strong manual dexterity, and the ability to follow detailed manufacturing instructions to ensure high-quality production standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assemble cables and electronic components by following work instructions, assembly drawings, and manufacturing documentation

Strip cable wire while preserving conductor and shield integrity

Perform lead-free soldering, including tinning wire ends and soldering wires to connector pins and PCB through-holes

Test cables and assembled products using appropriate testing equipment and procedures

Review manufacturing orders, assembly drawings, and instructions to ensure accurate first-pass assembly

Pull required parts and materials for manufacturing orders

Assemble components, inspect connections for proper fit and function, and fasten parts and subassemblies

Operate small hand tools, fixtures, and jigs

Identify and communicate material shortages or discrepancies

Clean, label, and package finished products according to company standards and procedures

Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and safety standards

Provide support and backup assistance to other technician and departments as needed

Communicate production progress, quality concerns, and issues in a timely manner

Perform other duties as required

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of wire soldering required

High school diploma or GED required; additional technical training or related experience is a plus

Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation

Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination

Basic computer and documentation skills

Preferred Skills:

Experience with lead-free soldering techniques

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing effectively in a team environment

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

Friendly, courteous, flexible, and able to work with a variety of personality types
