Why Work Here?
Employees join a stable, growth-oriented organization that offers a competitive pay structure supported by a union environment. Once converted to a permanent role, you can bid on more skilled positions and earn raises as you advance, providing clear pathways for career development. The operation maintains a steady workload and strong market presence, offering consistent work and long-term security. After conversion, you also receive a safety shoe stipend, reflecting a commitment to safety and employee well-being. The culture values skilled trades, hands-on craftsmanship, and continuous learning in a supportive, team-based setting.
Work Environment
The role is based in a large, spacious shop environment that is organized by department and designed to accommodate very large machines. The workspace is climate controlled and supplemented with fans and heaters to maintain a manageable environment throughout the year. Assembly technicians typically work relatively independently on their assigned builds while still collaborating with team members in sub-assembly and final assembly areas. The facility uses equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and other lift-assist tools to handle large components safely. Dress is typical for an industrial shop setting, with an emphasis on appropriate safety footwear and personal protective equipment; after conversion to a permanent role, a dedicated safety shoe stipend supports this requirement.
