AC4S LLC is currently seeking an Assembly Technician Who Performs assembly, testing, and configuration of IT equipment prior to shipment. Images workstations and servers to approved DOS configurations ahead of deployment. Verifies assembled equipment against order specifications and packing lists. Inspects items for conformity, damage, or prior usage, recording findings on the Non-Conformance Log. Prepares materials for shipping based on information from CST, providing inventory copies for review prior to shipping. Follows the authorization process for non-standard workstation configurations set by the CA Configuration Control Board. Supports spare and break fix inventory preparation including desktops, laptops, monitors, hard disks, and power supplies. Apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on assignments, performing work under supervision. Experience and Skills: - Knowledge of computer hardware components, including desktops, laptops, servers, monitors, storage devices, power supplies, and peripheral equipment.
- Experience assembling, configuring, imaging, and testing IT equipment in accordance with established technical procedures.
- Ability to install operating systems, software applications, and approved system configurations
- Ability to inspect equipment for damage, defects, prior use, and configuration compliance while maintaining accurate documentation.
- Experience verifying equipment for damage, defects, prior use, and configuration standard.
- Experience preparing IT equipment for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and shipping documentation
- High school diploma with 2+ years of experience; OR Associate of Arts degree with 1+ years of experience.
Physical Requirements - Footwear: Steel-toe boots or steel-toe protective shoes are required at all times while performing warehouse duties or handling IT equipment.
- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, and move IT equipment and boxed assets weighing a minimum of 40 pounds. Occasional lifting of items above this weight may be required with proper team-lift procedures.
- Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday, including walking between storage areas, staging zones, and inventory stations.
- Bending, Stooping, and Reaching: Regular bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching to access shelves, pallet racks, and inventory locations.
- Pushing and Pulling: Ability to push or pull carts, pallet jacks, or other equipment used to transport IT assets within the warehouse environment.
- Manual Dexterity: Sufficient hand and finger dexterity to safely unbox, label, scan, connect, and prepare IT hardware and accessories.
- Environmental Conditions: Ability to work in a warehouse setting with variable temperatures, concrete flooring, and active movement of equipment and personnel. May require use of basic PPE such as gloves or safety glasses depending on task.
- Equipment Operation (if applicable): Ability to safely operate non-powered material handling equipment (e.g., carts, dollies, pallet jacks). No forklift operation is assumed unless separately certified and required.
