    Description

    Job Title: Warehouse Assembly Supervisor

    Position Summary

    American Van Equipment in Lakewood, NJ has a Assembler Warehouse Supervisor position available. This person is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse assembly operations, supervising production and warehouse personnel, coordinating workflow, and ensuring that products are assembled accurately, safely, and on schedule. This position requires extensive forklift experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment while meeting production and shipping deadlines. Bi-lingual is preferred.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Maintain accurate inventory levels and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.

    Ensure warehouse organization, cleanliness, and proper material storage.

    Enforce all OSHA regulations and company safety policies, including forklift safety practices.

    Conduct daily safety inspections of forklifts and warehouse equipment.

    Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.

    Collaborate with Purchasing, Production Planning, Customer Service, and Shipping departments to ensure efficient workflow.

    Monitor employee productivity and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency.

    Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance evaluations.

    Maintain production and inventory records using warehouse management or ERP systems.

    Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical training preferred.

    Minimum of 5 years of warehouse and assembly experience.

    Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.

    Extensive experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

    Current forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.

    Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and assembly processes.

    Experience with ERP or warehouse management software preferred.

    Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

    Ability to lead by example and foster a positive team environment.

    Bi-lingual English and Spanish preferred.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Excellent leadership and employee development skills.

    Thorough knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and OSHA standards.

    Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

    Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

    Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools.

    Requirements:

    Forklift certification and experience.

    Bilingual Preferred.
