Job Title: Assembly Worker

Location: New Holland, PA

Type: Contract

Contractor Work Model: Onsite – onsite

Hours: M-F 6:30am - 3pm (if overtime is required it is worked after regular shift ends)

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of wiring, assembly, finishing, welding and testing operations on company products.
  • Work from Engineering specifications, sketches, schematic diagrams, verbal instructions, or detailed assembly drawings.
  • Set-up and arc weld parts, sub-assemblies, and complete assemblies involving fitting, aligning, and adjusting to insure proper function and efficiency.
  • Work from prints and wiring charts and/or standard assembly - electrical practices to perform the various operations.
  • Use miscellaneous assembly tools, A.C. welder, and various electrical measuring and test equipment (i.e., OHM, AMP, voltmeter, hi-voltage tester and dynamic balancer).
  • Recondition used dryers by applying careful judgment on the work and replacement parts required.
  • Trouble shoot problems and offer recommendations to customer inquiries regarding installation, maintenance and conversion of dryers.
  • Work from blueprints, drawings, specifications, shop orders, instructions, sketches, schematic diagrams.
  • Perform inspection of parts, SPC, TPM, teamwork, accuracy, inventory control duties as required, total quality, employee involvement, cost reductions, and training new operators.
  • Maintain necessary records.
  • Move materials as necessary in the performance of duties.
  • Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to proper supervision.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as required or directed.
