Description

Asset Management One USA Inc is a New York-based asset manager (SEC registered investment adviser and CFTC registered CTA/CPO) with approximately $ 7 b under management and $ 15 b under advisory. We are seeking a n Assistant Vice President of Finance .

Position Overview:

The position will share responsib ilities for management of all daily and periodic accounting , finance , and trad e operations needs of the firm's funds (including Cayman funds, US funds, and fund of funds ). In addition, the position will be responsible for assisting with various R isk and IT related tasks.

Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities for the role are detailed below:

  • Oversee the daily activities of the Fund's outsourced trading operations

  • Monitor cash across fund vehicles/treasury management, including F und invoicing and payment management , as well as Fund fee and expense accrual management

  • Manage daily and month end close/reconciliation/NAV process with Fund administrator

  • Manage the annual preparation and issuance of the financial statements

  • Monitor and advise on fund tax considerations , including the review of various tax filings

  • Manage service providers and problem resolution including administrator s , banks, custodians, and auditors

  • Assist with regulatory compliance, including filings of regulatory forms (NFA/SEC)

  • Assist with investor reporting preparation and ad-hoc reporting requests

  • Assist with daily and periodic risk management activities across all operational risk areas

  • Assist in various Risk related projects and initiatives

  • Assist in various IT related projects and initiatives

  • Work with system providers to implement efficient workflows across accounting, operations and risk areas

Qualifications:

  • CPA with prior experience at an accounting firm

  • 5+ years industry accounting experience, direct hedge fund/hedge fund platform employment a plus

  • Experience with order management systems and Administrator reporting platforms

  • Knowledge of Enfusion a plus

  • Extremely detail oriented and organized

  • Strong technical and analytical skills

  • Knowledge of MS Office including Excel ( e.g. macros, vlookups , pivot tables, etc.)

  • Experience with Audits and Regulatory Reporting (NFA/SEC)

  • Strong sense of personal responsibility and ownership of projects and tasks assigned

  • Highly organized and self-motivated

  • Process and detail oriented with a strong work ethic and team focused attitude

The expected base salary ranges from $120,000.00 -$160,000.00. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
