ASSET MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST Asset Management The West Virginia Housing Development Fund (the “Fund”), a quasi-governmental organization providing safe, decent affordable housing across West Virginia, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of an Asset Management Specialist in our Charleston Office. We are dedicated to increasing the supply of residential housing for individuals and families of low- and moderate-income. We also provide construction and permanent mortgage financing to public and private sponsors of such housing. To date, the Fund has issued more than $4.5 billion in bonds and has financed more than 165,000 housing units since it began operation in 1969. Job Summary: This employee is responsible for routine scheduling, compliance monitoring, physical inspection, and preparation of written reports on the overall operations of Section 8 Multi-Family Housing, HOME Rental, and RD 538 Multi-Family projects. They provide technical assistance to resident managers and management companies relating to daily operations of the property, HUD, HOME and RD 538 regulations, tenant relations, maintenance policies/procedures, waiting list and marketing techniques. This employee will have access to sensitive and confidential data; therefore, confidentiality must be maintained at all times. Essential Functions:

Supervisory Responsibility: N/A Work Environment/Physical Demands: The employee in this position may be required to sit at a desk or in a car for long periods of time. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc. May be required to climb stairs, walk through multi-story buildings, and travel statewide. Required Education/Experience: High School Graduate with a minimum of five years' experience in the management and/or operation of multifamily rental housing facilities. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Preferred Education/Experience: Associate Degree in Accounting with a minimum of three years’ experience in property management and/or affordable rental programs. Required Certificates/Licenses: Valid driver’s license; Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Housing Quality Standards (HQS), Uniform Physical Condition Standards (UPCS), or Certified Assistant Housing Manager (CAHM) Certifications recommended. |
