Position Description
Seattle's Office of Housing works to build strong, healthy communities and increase opportunities for people of all income levels to live in our city. Our initiatives help stimulate housing development, allowing families to thrive and neighborhoods to provide a full range of housing choices and opportunities.
A critical part of supporting this mission is to monitor the long-term sustainability and compliance with affordable housing requirements of the City of Seattles investment in multifamily rental projects that receive direct capital investment. The Office of Housing is currently seeking an Asset Management Strategic Advisor who serves as the technical and analytical lead on complex City-financed preservation, stabilization, and redevelopment initiatives. The role applies advanced underwriting, financial analysis, economic forecasting, and portfolio evaluation to guide strategic decision-making and ensure the long-term sustainability of City-funded affordable housing. The Strategic Advisor collaborates with internal and external partners to structure financially feasible transactions, assess project and sponsor capacity, and align investments with City priorities.

This position is a Civil Service position classified as a Strategic Advisor 1, General Government. This position is exempt from FLSA (not eligible for overtime) and is non-represented.
Pay: The full salary range for this position is $51.88 - $77.82/hour. The salary range for this individual role has been identified as $71.34 - $77.82/hour.
Working Schedule. This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule. Employees will be expected to be in-office three days a week.
Hiring Timeline: First interviews for this position are tentatively scheduled for July 27-31, 2026. Second interviews for this position are tentatively scheduled for August 10-14, 2026, with an anticipated start date in September 2026.
