Description: Job Title: Asset Meta Data Steward Job Description Normalize and standardize legacy and ongoing asset data Lead development work within ServiceNow catalog and asset management workflows, including configuration, enhancement, and optimization of catalog items, approval flows, and governance controls to improve data integrity and operational efficiency. This role will operate primarily within ServiceNow, leveraging the platform’s CMDB and asset modules to manage and govern IT asset data at scale. Manage SKU Catalog Accuracy and Mapping. Create and maintain a master list of approved SKUs for both hardware and software products. Ensure SKUs are correctly mapped to asset models, vendors, and procurement line items to support accurate ordering, financial reconciliation, and reporting. Enable Data-Driven Refresh Planning and Forecasting. Analyze lifecycle trends, model aging, support status, and utilization metrics to recommend hardware/software refreshes. Feed insights into budget planning and replacement programs. Perform Quality Assurance on Asset Data Entries. Use ServiceNow reporting tools and data filters to monitor, validate, and audit incoming and existing asset records. Identify anomalies, duplicates, or incomplete metadata and coordinate with field teams to correct inaccuracies and enforce governance rules. Lead coordination with vendor and procurement teams to ensure vendor master data aligns with internal catalog and model standards. Partner with sourcing/procurement teams to onboard new vendors/products with accurate, normalized metadata. Support Audit and Compliance Readiness by maintaining audit-ready records and clean metadata in ServiceNow in compliance with internal controls and external audits. Collaborate with the ServiceNow platform team to escalate data quality issues, recommend workflow improvements, and support enhancements to catalog governance tools. Assist in generating data dashboards, audit logs, and operational KPIs related to asset catalog accuracy, data corrections, and lifecycle trends for visibility to leadership and compliance teams. Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders regarding data quality issues, standards enforcement, and catalog changes to drive alignment and ongoing operational compliance. Preferred Experience: 2+ years hands-on experience with ServiceNow’s Hardware Asset Management (HAM), ServiceNow’s Software Asset Management Pro (SAM), and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) modules. Familiarity with ITIL processes, asset lifecycle governance, and data quality tools within ServiceNow is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
