Position Overview

Full performance level professional position in the Environmental Services Department under general direction of the Asset Management Administrator requiring considerable knowledge of analytical processes related to asset and program management.

Summary of Job Duties

Responsible for assisting the Asset Management Administrator with day-to-day management of asset management core functions and activities for the MCES operational teams and associated assets. Analyzes all work activities in the department and verifies service levels are being met.

Coordinates asset planning efforts with all departments, evaluates trouble calls and customer communications related to their issues, and monitors past due work orders. Performs corrective action reviews for assets requiring renewal or maintenance, will assist with monitoring the operational crew's quality of work, Monitors the quality of work through Planning; offers regular corrective feedback, individually or to the group, as appropriate; and oversees the development and movement of blocks of work to Renewal.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

Associate degree in public/business administration, environmental or computer science, GIS, engineering, planning, or closely related fields with 3 years of relevant work experience or education, training and/or experience in an amount equal to the minimum qualifications stated above. Must have current valid drivers license with acceptable driving record.

Experience in water / wastewater utility or solid waste is preferred. Prior Asset Management experience preferred.

Probation period 180 days

Seasonal Employees: Benefits include Sick Leave accrued at 4.6 hours for every eighty 80 hours in active

pay status. Seasonal employees scheduled to work 40 hours during their period of employment will accrue vacation in the same manner as regular full-time employees and can use their vacation after completion of twenty-six (26) bi-weekly pay periods in active pay status. Part-time Seasonal employees (scheduled to work less than 40 hours) do not accrue vacation.

Intermittent and Temporary Employees: Long-Term Sick Leave accrual is based on hours worked.
