Job Summary (List Format): Principle DevOps Engineer
- Jenkins & Groovy Expertise: Design, develop, and maintain Jenkins pipelines using Groovy (including Shared Libraries) for scalable, reusable automation.
- CI/CD & SCM Management: Oversee GitHub Actions, Workflows, branching strategies, and CI/CD processes to ensure robust code integration and delivery.
- Automation & Tooling: Write advanced Bash and Python scripts; build and maintain internal tools/APIs (preferably with Flask); automate repetitive developer tasks.
- Build Systems: Manage and optimize Java (Maven, Gradle) and JavaScript (npm, yarn) build systems; support Angular and microservices architectures.
- App-Dev Lifecycle Ownership: Drive the end-to-end "Code-to-Cloud" process, including containerization (Docker), automated testing, quality gates, and deployment.
- Cloud & Monitoring: Deploy and manage Jenkins on AWS EKS; integrate monitoring and logging tools (Splunk, Datadog) for environment observability.
- Developer Experience: Own and enhance the developer experience by automating the production release path, ensuring consistency and scalability for 45+ squads.
- Continuous Improvement: Review, analyze, and recommend improvements to software development and release processes; document and communicate architectures and flows.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with Release Management, QA, Development, and Project Management teams for smooth release rollouts.
- Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot complex CI/CD, release, and environment issues in multi-component systems; deliver solutions for efficient and reliable deployments.
- Service-Oriented Transformation: Support the transition from monolithic to service-based architectures, driving automation and efficiency in software releases.
- Required Experience: 5+ years in software engineering, configuration, and release management for large-scale enterprise applications; strong scripting and automation skills.
- Preferred Skills: Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, application development, and observability tools (Datadog, OTEL).
