At Sephora, beauty is about feeling seen, valued, and empowered, individually and collectively. It is connecting deeply with others, celebrating diversity and inclusivity, unlocking your potential and making a difference every day. Together, we belong to something beautiful.

Your role at Sephora…

As an Asset Protection Associate within our Sephora Distribution Centers, your primary responsibility is to safeguard our most valuable assets: our dedicated employees and critical company property. You will be at the forefront of maintaining a secure and safe environment, ensuring operational continuity, and contributing to the overall success of our distribution network. This role requires a vigilant and proactive approach to physical security, access control, and threat mitigation. You will collaborate with internal teams and external security personnel to implement and uphold best-in-class security protocols, utilize advanced surveillance technologies, and respond effectively to potential security incidents. Your ability to act decisively, maintain composure under pressure, and apply strong de-escalation skills will be paramount in protecting our associates and assets.

What You’ll Do:

  • Proactively manage and monitor comprehensive physical security efforts and access controls across all zones of the distribution center, ensuring a safe and secure operational environment.
  • Execute screening procedures for all inbound and outbound personnel, utilizing advanced metal detection technology, handheld devices, and keen visual observation to prevent unauthorized access or loss.
  • Conduct regular and thorough inspections of property perimeters and internal building controls, identifying and addressing potential vulnerabilities in both physical and systemic security measures.
  • Respond swiftly and effectively to active threats or security incidents impacting the facility or associates, employing appropriate de-escalation techniques and, when warranted, physical intervention to neutralize risks.
  • Administer the facility's identification badging system, including creating, issuing, and managing access credentials for all associates to ensure accurate identification and controlled entry.
  • Oversee and manage inbound/outbound truck control processes, verifying appointments, conducting thorough check-ins and check-outs, and maintaining logs to ensure supply chain integrity.
  • Support investigations related to theft, loss, security breaches, leveraging CCTV footage and other resources to gather evidence and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of shrink reduction programs, fostering a culture of awareness and vigilance among associates to minimize product loss.
  • Represent the company professionally in all legal proceedings, including criminal or civil cases, providing accurate information and testimony as required.
  • Perform regular security audits and checklists, documenting findings and communicating insights to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Lead and support special projects and initiatives as assigned, contributing to the enhancement of overall security operations and strategic objectives.

What You’ll Brin

·       A minimum of 1-2 years of dedicated experience in Loss Prevention or security, with a strong preference for candidates experienced within a fast-paced distribution center environment.
·       High School Diploma or equivalent.
·       Demonstrated excellence in communication, encompassing strong written, verbal, active listening, and interpersonal skills, particularly in critical security interactions.

·       Proficiency in de-escalation techniques, with a consistent track record of resolving conflicts and managing tense situations calmly and effectively.
·       Capacity for autonomous work, effectively managing multiple priorities and performing job functions with minimal supervision while upholding high standards of vigilance.
·       Proficiency in relevant computer systems and software, including specialized loss prevention applications, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), comprehensive inventory management systems, and proven experience with CCTV, alarm, and card access systems.
·       Ability to work a flexible work schedule demonstrating adaptability to business and operational needs.
·       Possession and maintenance of all required guard/security certifications, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as required.
·       Physical capability to perform demanding tasks, including the ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
