The position supports the inventory management, maintenance, repair, warehouse storage, delivery, and tracking of IT endpoint devices, including laptops, desktops, thin clients, tablets, mobile phones, and related peripherals. The role involves performing basic troubleshooting and repairs, coordinating warranty services, and assisting with imaging and configuration of devices in a centralized imaging center while following established standards and procedures.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions


+ Assist with receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming and outgoing IT devices and peripherals. Support movement and delivery of equipment, including pallets.


+ Maintain accurate records of IT hardware assets using inventory management software.


+ Participate in scheduled inventory audits, identifying discrepancies, damages, or missing items and helping resolve issues.


+ Attend meetings related to hardware movements, storage, and project needs.


+ Support implementation of asset management workflows and tools. Report issues and improvement opportunities.


+ Adhere to established policies for inventory management, asset tagging, equipment security, and device disposal.


+ Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs such as replacing batteries, keyboards, screens, and drives. Support warranty and vendor repair coordination.


+ Assist with unboxing, tagging, imaging, configuring, and re-boxing new or used endpoint devices. Record asset details for import into tracking systems.


+ Help connect devices to networks and KVMs for imaging and setup. Establish initial connectivity and troubleshoot basic issues.


+ Assist with software installation, verify compliance with security standards, and ensure devices meet hardware/software requirements.


+ Support bulk device configuration and imaging in a production-style environment.


+ Provide timely status updates and escalate deviations from standards.


+ Assist with warehouse/inventory control tasks and shipments to additional locations.


+ Participate as part of the delivery team, including operating company vehicles when needed.

This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
