Within the WPP Unite structure, Barrows is looking to bring on a dynamic, curious, and results-oriented Associate Account Executive to join our team, focusing on commerce for Unilever across one of their key customers, Walmart. This role is pivotal in supporting the execution of integrated marketing strategies that leverage commerce insights to enhance brand presence and performance in the digital and physical retail landscapes within Walmart.

In this junior-level role, you will be expected to master operational rigor and build strong relationships under the guidance and mentorship of senior team members. Integrate performance indicators across media and digital search to identify growth drivers. This role empowers the team to recognize opportunities and accelerate project optimization for more effective brand delivery. The individual will be a WPP Unite employee integrated directly within the Unilever team structure.

Roles and Responsibilities

Project Support & Operational Rigor

  • Support the management of projects, while being a key liaison between design and production teams. In these cases, you will be responsible for supporting internal briefs, project management which includes, managing the timeline, ensuring all collaboration tools and trackers are accurate and shared in a timely manner, and ensuring ongoing communication among all parties.
  • Route requests and manage project needs, from initial brief to implementation through to final reveal under the guidance of account leadership.
  • Manage status updates and reporting, as well as key project management tools and trackers (such as status sheets, hot sheets, and timelines) that are internal and external facing. Ensure all team documentation is reliable and meticulous.
  • Document key takeaways from meetings and suggest small workflow improvements to support team knowledge.
  • Proactively anticipate both internal needs and client needs to ensure accurate and timely delivery of projects.
  • Support the development of the highest quality creative briefs that succinctly communicate what the brand is trying to achieve, using each brief as an opportunity to learn and grow.

  • Strong attention to detail and organization even under pressure. Demonstrated ability to effectively proofread own and others' work to ensure accuracy.
  • Actively and effectively support the management of timelines, budgets, and deliverables of multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

  • 0 - 1 years of experience in a marketing agency, retailer, or digital company (relevant internship experience will be highly considered).
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Strong project management, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for shopper/retail for CPG or health and wellness brands.
  • A curious, growth-oriented mindset with a strong hunger to learn the clients business, objectives, and competitive landscape.
  • Excited about working in a fast-paced, startup environment where you can learn by doing.
  • All-hands-on-deck mentality with a strong willingness to support teammates beyond your assigned tasks.
  • Comfortable working with clients; strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive and decisive; driven and logical thinker who is eager to seek feedback and grow.
  • Lead by example and perform well under pressure; ability to handle multiple projects at once.
  • Computer literate, administratively strong, attention to detail, accountable.
  • Ability to work in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this role is $45,000 - $60,000

  • exact compensation will be determined based on individual experience
