Assistant Accounting Manager

Frederick Derr & Company, Inc., a well-established Sarasota, FL based contractor specializing in site development construction, is looking for an Assistant Accounting Manager. This is a great opportunity to get into an employee-owned company in a position that offers advancement potential.

Qualified candidates should possess a minimum of 2 years accounting experience, have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 using Excel, Outlook and Word and have an Associate's degree in accounting.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Learn processes for EDP Systems and troubleshoot issues in Sage 300 CRE Accounting system and interfacing software applications. Gain an understanding of workflow and posting processes between applications.
• Work with accounting staff, prepare reports and assist with daily workflow activities.
• Assist and review quarterly and annual reporting requirements.
• Work with estimating and project management team.
