Description

The assistant advisor will help the Director of Student Media by acting as a mentor and leader for student journalists working in the on-campus newsroom.

Examples of Duties

The job will consist of spending a minimum of five hours per week in the office during the production of The Maroon, as well as two hours per week in a story planning/ and or critique meeting. Another three hours per week will be spent working with the students individually as needed.

Typical Qualifications

Minimum Bachelors degree

Minimum two years experience working within student media

Minimum two years working in the professional media

In accordance with the Campus Security Act as amended, Loyola University publishes annually and distributes to members of the academic community, and upon request to prospective (students/employees), an annual security report.
