The Opportunity

Contra Costa Water District is seeking up to two (2) or more Assistant and/or Associate Engineer(s) to join the Engineering Department, with the potential to fill additional project-funded position(s) depending on the qualifications of candidates identified. As a valued member of the Engineering department, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects and initiatives that support the CCWD''s critical infrastructure while continuing to grow professionally and expand technical expertise.

Assistant Engineer Minimum Qualifications: Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:

Training: Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in engineering or a related field.

Experience: Two (2) years of professional engineering experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Possession of a valid California driver's license to be maintained throughout employment.
• Possession of a valid certificate as an Engineer-in-Training issued by the State of California to be maintained throughout employment.

Associate Engineer Minimum Qualifications: Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:

Training: Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in engineering or a related field.

Experience: Two (2) years of professional engineering experience comparable to an Assistant Engineer at the CCWD.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Possession of a valid license as a Professional Engineer issued by the State of California to be maintained throughout employment
