Position OverviewThe Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at our Peoria campus is seeking General OB/GYN physicians for both full-time and part-time roles. These positions involve providing comprehensive healthcare in inpatient and outpatient environments, as well as actively participating in the education and clinical training of residents and medical students. Our expanding program allows for a position tailored to your interests in patient care, teaching, and maintaining a flexible work-life balance.
Key ResponsibilitiesPeoria, located in central Illinois, offers urban amenities without the congestion. The city features the largest park district in Illinois, with extensive walking and biking trails, an airport with 11 direct destinations, a vibrant arts and music scene, minor league sports, and an affordable cost of living. The Peoria metropolitan area is home to approximately 375,000 residents and is conveniently situated just two hours from both Chicago and St. Louis.
Our team consists of over a dozen physician faculty members, providing a supportive and collaborative environment. Due to our size and reach, we can customize a position that aligns with your interests in inpatient or outpatient care, teaching, and scholarly activities.
As a regional campus of the University of Illinois College of Medicine, one of the largest and most diverse public medical schools in the U.S., our OB/GYN residency program accepts up to four residents annually. Our academic offices are connected to a quaternary care hospital featuring a Level I Trauma Center, one of the most comprehensive neuroscience centers in the Midwest, and the largest children's hospital in downstate Illinois. Faculty members also have access to a state-of-the-art medical simulation center.
