Position Information Position Title: Assistant/Associate Professor of English Job Description: The tenure-track assistant/associate professor of English teaches 12 hours per semester in Freshman composition, world literature, and/or upper-level courses related to his/her specialty. Ph.D. preferred with demonstrable excellence in teaching, research, and service. The ideal candidate should be qualified to teach English literature of all periods and professional writing.

Required Qualifications An earned Ph.D. in English, the candidate must be:

• Highly motivated
• Able to work independently and as a team member
• Have excellent interpersonal skills
• Meticulous in performing job duties
• Have a desire in scholarly research
• Be willing to advise students, converse with students, and listen patiently to students
