Assistant Athletic Coach - Track and Field

Under general direction of the head coach, the assistant track and field coach's primary responsibilities will consist of the technical coaching of student-athletes during practices and conditioning. The assistant track and field coach will also assist with fundraising efforts and event planning and organization.

Essential Functions:

• Assists with conditioning and practices, with specific emphasis on the training of individuals competing in the field events (jumps, throws, etc.)
• Assists with fundraising
• Assists with event planning and organization, including but not limited to home meets, alumni events, and conference meet

Qualifications:

• Bachelors'' Degree in related area.
• 1-3 years related experience

• Knowledge of a specific sport''s concepts/strategies and NCAA rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of physical conditioning techniques and weight training.
• Knowledge of basic statistics.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal/human relations skills.
• Organizational/planning skills.
• Leadership and motivational skills.
• Ability to serve as a positive role model
