Position Summary

TheAssistant Athletic Director/Sr. DirectorforDevelopmentreports to the Director of Athletics and serves as a member of the department staff that is committed to excellence and advancing the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics through its strategic plan and vision.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with Director of Athletics to plan, lead, and execute annual fundraising goals and efforts for Central Arkansas Athletics.
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward current and prospective annual fund donors.
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward current and prospective UCA Lettermen's Club members.
  • Work with Director of Athletics to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward major giving prospects for, but not limited to, facility and capital improvement projects, scholarship and operational endowments, and programmatic support.
  • Develop and coordinate annual fundraising events, stewardship plans, recognition programs, and fundraising material consistent with the goals of Central Arkansas Athletics.
  • Serving as liaison to and work in a highly collaborative fashion with University Advancement on current and future fundraising initiatives.
  • Work directly with the athletic departments 18 varsity teams in meeting departmental and programmatic fundraising goals.
  • Achievedevelopmentmetrics set forth by University Advancement and Central Arkansas Athletics.
  • Comply with all NCAA, United Athletic Conference, ASUN Conference, and institutional rules and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal, writing, communication, problem solving, and emotional skills.
  • Experience with and knowledge of various computer-based software for, but not limited to, donor management is preferred.

Required Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's Degree required

Nights, weekends, and ability to travel are essential

Preferred Education and/or Experience

Master's Degree preferred, with applicable experience in sales, fundraising or a related field
