Fork Union Military Academy's Mission is to educate, develop, and inspire young men in a college preparatory, Christian, military structured environment. Cadets build character and learn leadership, independence, responsibility and discipline in a setting that encourages mental, physical, and spiritual growth. In this mission, our Associate Program Directors and Coaches are the heart of our Leadership program and foster personal development with daily interaction and the ability to teach, advise and coach our Cadets.
Description
Assistant Athletic Trainer are responsible for assisting the Athletic Department with day-to-day functions of the training support program, working in conjunction with coaches across multiple sports to support cadets, contribute knowledge and skills within their scope of training, and instilling an environment of inclusion and safety for the cadets on campus. Assistant Athletic Trainer shall be further willing to adhere to, enforce, encourage, and instruct per the Academy's mission and core values to all Cadets.
Essential Job Functions and Requirements:
Special Tasks: Must provide prevention, care, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for interscholastic athletic program and cadet corps. Travel with the post-graduate football team. Be available during the day to provide treatment and rehabilitation to injured cadets.
Work Schedule: On a normal day the hours are from no later than 0800 until 1800. These hours can change because of athletic contests on weekends and during evening hours.
Educational Requirements: A minimum of a bachelor's degree, Certification by the National Athletic Trainer's Association, License by the Board of Medicine Department of Health Professions. ECC/BLS CPR Certification
