Job Summary

We're looking for a motivated and energetic Assistant Manager to help lead our bakery team and deliver an outstanding guest experience. In this role, you'll support the Bakery Manager in overseeing daily operations, leading team members, maintaining exceptional food quality and safety standards, and ensuring smooth, efficient service. Your leadership will help create a positive work environment, drive operational excellence, and keep guests coming back. Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Bakery Manager in the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, including food preparation, customer service, and team supervision.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate team members to deliver exceptional guest service while maintaining an efficient workflow.
  • Manage shift operations, including scheduling, staffing, and ensuring smooth execution during each shift.
  • Monitor inventory levels, oversee food handling and production, and coordinate supply ordering to reduce waste and control costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations through ongoing training and consistent oversight.
  • Process cash and credit transactions accurately using POS system, while maintaining accountability for cash handling procedures.
  • Train and develop team members on operational procedures, food preparation, customer service standards, and food safety best practices.
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new employees.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming bakery environment that reflects our commitment to outstanding hospitality.
Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a quick-service, fast-food, or casual dining restaurant environment.
  • Prior supervisory, shift leader, or assistant management experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Experience with inventory management, food cost control, budgeting, and food safety compliance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation, food handling, catering, beverage service, or barista experience is a plus.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining exceptional customer service.
  • Hotel or broader hospitality management experience is an asset.

Compensation: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
