Assistant Baseball Coach 2

The Assistant Baseball Coach 2 is responsible for assisting with all aspects of an NCAA Division I Baseball program including, but not limited to, the identification and recruitment of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes; supporting the academic progress of student-athletes; preparing and conducting individual and team practices, training, and competition; fostering the academic, athletic, and personal growth of student-athletes; organizing team and staff travel arrangements; facilitating administrative duties and paperwork; managing the ordering of team meals; coordinating and administering special baseball events and representing the sports program as needed in association with promoting and fundraising for the program. The full salary range for the Assistant Baseball Coach 2 is $46,100.00 - $75,300.00 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.\n \nMay assist in the recruitment of prospective athletes within the framework of the university, department, conference, NCAA rules.May assist in most practice and conditioning sessions.Under guidance of head coach, develops technical aspects of player coaching.Analyzes performance and instructs participants in program strategies and techniques to prepare them for competition.Observes players while they perform to determine need for individual or team improvement.Participates in the evaluation of student athletes' performance.Represents and promotes professional conduct, university good will and high standards at all events and games.Ensures adherence to all governing rules, university, department, conference, NCAA policies and procedures, including student-athlete benefits.May assist in coaching at competitive events.May participate in fundraising activities for the program and department.Will assist with coordinating travel and ordering meals for the team.Other duties as assigned.\n \nDemonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with athletic participants.Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making; be an effective problem solver and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.Specialized knowledge of the team sport or activity, as well as basic technical expertise in coaching principles.Current knowledge of applicable rules and standards of the affiliated athletic conference, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) or National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), as well as other associations and agencies to which the campus adheres, and, at all times avoid any and all violations of these rules and standards.Demonstrated effective problem solving and communication skills, verbally and in writing.\n \nSpecialized knowledge of the team sport or activity, as well as basic technical expertise in coaching principles. Current knowledge of applicable rules and standards of the affiliated athletic conference, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) or National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), as well as other associations and agencies to which the campus adheres, and, at all times avoid any and all violations of these rules and standards. Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making; be an effective problem solver and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
