Assistant Baseball Coach 3

The Assistant Baseball Coach is responsible for assisting with all aspects of an NCAA Division I Baseball program, including, but not limited to, the identification and recruitment of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes; supporting the academic progress of student-athletes; preparing and conducting individual and team practices, training, and competition; fostering the academic, athletic, and personal growth of student-athletes; organizing team and staff travel arrangements; facilitating administrative duties and paperwork; managing the distribution and ordering of team equipment and supplies; coordinating and administering special baseball events and representing the sports program as needed in association with promoting and fundraising for the program. The full salary range for the Assistant Baseball Coach 3 is $64,800.00 - $113,400.00 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.\n \nRecruit prospective athletes within the framework of the university, department, conference, NCAA rules.Proposes the strategies, goals and objectives for the sports program on a short and long term basis.Assumes full team responsibility for recruitment and performance.Evaluates student-athletes performance and design instructional opportunities to improve technical and strategic execution based on sound motor learning and bio-mechanical principles.Supports head coach in planning and conducting all practice and conditioning sessions. May conduct team meetings.Ensures adherence to all governing rules, university, department, conference and NCAA, policies and procedures, including student-athlete benefits.May assume budget responsibilities for program or specific aspects of program.May assist in organizing and conducting competitive events. May coach team at competitive events.Represents and promotes professional conduct, university goodwill and high standards at all events and games.May participate in fundraising activities for the program and department.May direct work of other assistant coaches.\n \nStrong interpersonal, motivational and team leadership skills to work effectively with athletic participants.Ability to demonstrate creativity, sound judgment and decision-making;, be an effective problem solver and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.Specialized knowledge of the team sport or activity and demonstrated technical expertise in coaching principles.Leadership skills to mentor and develop athletes.Current knowledge of applicable rules and standards of the affiliated athletic conference, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) or National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), as well as other associations and agencies to which the campus adheres, and, at all times avoid any and all violations of these rules and standards.Demonstrated effective problem solving and communication skills, verbally and in writing.\n \nCurrent knowledge of applicable rules and standards of the affiliated athletic conference, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) or National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), as well as other associations and agencies to which the campus adheres, and, at all times avoid any and all violations of these rules and standards.
