Reporting to the Head Coach, the Assistant Baseball Coach will perform all aspects of building and running a competitive NCAA collegiate baseball program. This position assists with practice planning, position-specific instruction, game-day strategy, and player development, while fostering a culture of discipline, accountability, and academic success among student-athletes.
Essential Functions
Assists in planning and conducting daily practices, conditioning sessions, and skill development drills.
Supports game-day operations, including lineup preparation, in-game strategy, and scouting reports.
Helps identify, evaluate, and recruit prospective student-athletes.
Monitors and supports student-athletes' academic progress and eligibility in coordination with academic advisors.
Assists with team travel logistics, equipment management, and facility scheduling.
Ensures compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional policies.
Builds positive relationships with players, coaching staff, alumni, and campus community.
Supports film/video breakdown and the use of analytics to improve player and team performance.
Assists with camps, clinics, and community outreach events.
