A services organization in New York City is seeking a new Assistant Bookkeeper to join their growing team in Queens.
About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: 3+ months
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8:30am to 4:30am (1-hour unpaid lunch)
- Department: Accounting
Responsibilities:
- Prepare reconciliations for multiple accounts
- Process bank service charges, contractor refunds, and invoice payments
- Process Wire/ACH to various vendors
- Record Imprest entry daily
- Prepare rent invoices and reconcile monthly
- Prepare quarterly and annual tax returns ( 941, 945, NYS45)
- Process stop /voids and reissues for multiple funds
- Process investment and expense accruals
- Process overdollar report
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- At least 3 months of Bookkeeping experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with Journal Entries
- Microsoft Excel proficient
- Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
