Role: By emphasizing ONE Park, ONE Mission, One Team, the Assistant Branch Manager I supports and leads the branch staff in fostering a member-centric culture focused on delivering an exceptional experience for both employees and members. This role involves directing, developing, motivating, and coaching staff to build strong member relationships, monitoring branch production, and addressing any issues that arise. The Assistant Branch Manager I also assists in hiring, training, and evaluating employees, representing the branch in the community, maintaining communications with Retail Operations, and ensuring branch activities comply with credit union policies and procedures. Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Performance Measurements: 1.To be an ambassador of Park's culture supporting the credit union's mission to build thriving communities together ensuring words and actions align with the Park VIBE that defines our Core Values: • Vibrant Connections • Inclusive Excellence • Bold Compassion • Endless Empowerment 2.To provide friendly, professional and accurate service and support to all members and coworkers and achieve average scores of 6 and above on Quality Standard Surveys and insure that staff do the same. 3.To maintain and develop a qualified staff sufficient to meet the needs of members. 4.To insure that staff work with a minimum number of documentation/transaction errors and that tellers function within the pre-set balancing standard policy. 5.To achieve branch goals as determined by the Management Team. 6.To complete performance reviews within the prescribed time frame. 7.To develop and maintain business partner relationships within the community. 8.To follow all security policies and procedures and report discrepancies or suspicious activity to manager immediately. 9.To maintain a professional work environment, promote teamwork, build respect among coworkers and present a businesslike appearance. 10.To follow the credit union’s Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering policies and procedures, including running OFAC searches, completing investigative reports of suspicious activity and currency transaction reports timely and without error. Knowledge and Skills: Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience. Education: (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program. Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication. Other Skills: Must have good communication skills.
