Insight Credit Union is looking for a passionate trusted financial advisor who is qualified and has the desire to provide an excellent service experience to our members.

The Assistant Branch Manager directs and coordinates the activities of personnel in a branch, assisting the Branch Manager in ensuring the branch meets organizational, financial, operational, service and growth plans.

Schedule & Training:

Shift includes 32- 40 hours per week between Monday - Friday (9am -6pm) and Saturday (9am-12pm). Hours will be based on the needs of the branch. The position provides a 4-week training program at one of our training locations.


Responsibilities & Qualifications:

  • Hires, trains, schedules, and monitors the work of branch personnel. Provides continual coaching towards performance improvement of all direct reports. Conducts performance reviews; allocates resources to meet operational needs within the department. Monitors and performs or guides corrections to department activities to ensure compliance with established policy and regulations. Performs quality control on all branch documents and directly coaches employees on errors found including corrective action. Prepares reports for Branch Manager's review. Meets or exceeds department and company goals for service standards, quality control, audits, and production.
  • Focuses on end-to-end member experience. Works to create a seemly transition for servicing in-branch or on video. Responsible to ensure employees meet or exceed the required quantity of and the high quality of product referrals per established minimums and to ensure departmental production goals are achieved.
  • Knowledgeable in all phases of branch operations. Services members and assists with account related questions and answers about products, services, and consumer loans; research/resolves problems within their authority. Assists with account and loan maintenance and will open accounts and submit loan applications as needed. Takes on other tasks or projects to support employees, other managers, and credit union operations. Works with Universal Representatives to focus on exceptional delivery of the end-to end member experience.
  • Resolves account and loan related concerns that have been escalated to management by subordinate employees. Answers staff's questions, guiding them through difficult issues, diffusing angry members, or handling issues that cannot be fielded by staff. Acts as backup to the Branch Manager in their absence.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience: Three year to five years of similar or related experience. Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Education: A high school education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Other Skills: Must have good communication skills for training other tellers. 10-key calculator and computer keyboard skills. Accurate with numbers and names.

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, sit or stand and walk or maneuver around the branch.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
