The DGS Office of Surplus Property Management (OSPM) is seeking an Assistant Bureau Manager to support the effective administration and daily operations at our Darbytown location. Under the general supervision of the Bureau Manager for OSPM, this position serves as a key administrative and operational resource for OSPM staff and management.
OSPM administers the Commonwealth's state and federal surplus property programs in accordance with Virginia Code § 2.2-1124. Through this authority, OSPM supports the orderly transfer, reutilization, sale, warehousing, inventory management, and final disposition of surplus personal property owned by Commonwealth agencies. The Assistant Bureau Manager will perform complex administrative and leadership duties, support decision-making for daily operations, assist with the acquisition, transfer, donation, sale, and disposition of surplus property, and help maintain consistent, compliant, and accountable service delivery across both facility-based and online surplus property activities.

This position is located in Richmond, Virginia and eligible for a hybrid telework schedule (telework up to 2 days/week) after 6 months of satisfactory performance and the completion of a Telework Agreement.
